Line of Advance publishes the creative writing of U.S. military members, veterans, and their immediate families. We are now accepting submissions of short fiction and poetry for the journal. All pieces chosen for submission will be posted on www.lineofadvance.org.
Veteran writers: in partnership with Chicago's Treehouse Human Society, we are asking for any poems, short stories, flash fiction, or short essays about your interactions with, love for, battles with, or general stories about a cat. Pieces chosen will be read aloud at a fundraising event this fall. Many of the pieces submitted will be posted on lineofadvance.org. Your piece should also include a short (75 word) biography.
Who is eligible: Current and past service members of the U.S. Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard), and their immediate family members (parents, siblings, children). Finalists may be required to provide DD-214 or other documents verifying military status or affiliation.
